Useful Information - Dictionary
Serbian language is difficult to learn and has complicated grammar. Words
and phrases we listed here will help you manage in different situations.
Do not worry much about the pronunciation, no one will laugh at you for
being a foreigner. Still, first try to ask in English since the majority of
Belgraders understand and speak it sufficiently. Apart from English,
you can try asking in Spanish, Russian, German and French, too.
The only Serbian word accepted in most languages in the world is “vampir
(Serbia is the native country of vampires). In some far-away parts of
the country the “conscientious” citizens still unearth their late neighbours
and drive hawthorne stakes through their hearts in order not to disturb
their widows any more.
